ST. JOSEPH'S CLINCHES VOLLEYBALL CROWN WITH WIN OVER MEDGAR Wiecek dominant once again as Lady Bears extend HVWAC winning streak to nearly 40 matches

(Oct. 17) - Senior Magdalena Wiecek recorded 16 kills and eight digs, and Jamie Mascetti recorded a match high 40 assists as the St. Joseph's College Women's Volleyball team captured its fourth straight HVWAC Championship with a 3-0 win over Medgar Evers on Oct. 17. With the win, the Lady Bears are now 15-2 overall and 8-0 in HVWAC play and will be the #1 seed for the upcoming HVWAC Championships as they seek to go four years without a conference loss.
St. Joseph's won the match 30-13, 30-10, and 30-27 to sweep the match as the Lady Bears have not lost a game in HVWAC play this season. SJC hit .370 and recorded 10 total blocks and 14 service aces.
After the USCAA Championships next week, the Lady Bears will return to the local courts for the HVWAC Championships where they will compete as the #1 seed.
